The Grand Canyon

It all started when…

I know my Mother was a huge influence as I have loved photography since I was a young boy. My first camera was a Kodak Disc camera in the 80’s.

Kodak Disc Camera (Wikipedia).

By the late 80’s I had upgraded to an inexpensive point and shoot 35mm camera. In the mid 90’s when I was in college I was able to get my first 35mm film SLR - it was a Canon. I have been shooting Canon ever since - now on my 4th or 5th iteration of a DSLR.

From the urging of some close friends I formally started Bluescape Canyon Photography - a name that gives a nod to The Grand Canyon and my enjoyment in shooting landscapes. I also love portrait photography especially as it enable to me to chase the sunrise and sunsets. I am a member of the PPA - the Professional Photographers of America.

I look forward to working with you in capturing your special moment in time so that you can remember it forever!

Here are just a few quotes from some of my clients:

“I have told many people about your company and everyone I have shown photos to have loved them :)”

“You were very accommodating and easy to work with.”

“It was amazing there were pictures taken that I have no idea how they were obtained I didn't even see a photographer there to capture the shot. Totally professional. completely amazing”

“Scott worked with our unruly family and took some great candid photos in addition to the formal ones. Was great to work with!”

“Everything was wonderful! It felt like a special time just for me and didn’t feel as if it had been repeated time and time again.”

“Very relaxed and easy to work with.”

“My expectations were exceeded. Scott was friendly, kept us on-task with what we spoke about previously, and was adaptable as we found a third and fourth location to shoot at that were perfect the day the pictures were taken. Every step of this process was a collaboration between our thoughts and his experience and professionalism to be sure we were able to achieve the best results.”
